Abstract: Sir Gordon Ying Sheung Wu, Chairman of Hopewell Holdings Limited, traces major infrastructure developments in the Mainland since the implementation of the epoch-making Open Door policy by Deng Xiaoping in 1978. He explores how major infrastructure projects helped modernize China and the impact of the Open Door policy had on him. Sir Gordon also talks about his visionary project 'The Hong Kong-Macau-China bridge' and outline the challenges for future infrastructure projects in Asia and the opportunities he sees ahead.
