Abstract: In this talk, the speaker would like to present recent works on spintronics using topological insulators and triplet superconductors. First, focus on topological insulators coupled to ferromagnets and discuss magneto transport in ferromagnet junctions, magnetization dynamics, current-induced magnetization reversal and rectification effect. The predicted effects are direct manifestation of Dirac fermions on the surface of a topological insulator. Next, talk about charge pumping in ferromagnet/triplet superconductor junctions where the magnetization of the ferromagnet is inhomogeneous and dynamical. It is shown that charge current is pumped due to the coupling of the localized spins with triplet vector chirality, vector chirality formed by the triplet vector of Cooper pairing. Physical mechanism of the charge pumping is also discussed.
